Father And The Outfit, TX Didn’t Get The Memo That It Was A Sunday Night Last Night At RBC.
Last night’s stop at RBC was at least the third from “Look At Wrist” rapper Father since September — and yet, even with this one falling on a Sunday night, this show managed to out-hype the Prophet Bar and Hailey’s Club ones that preceded it.
Credit the local openers in The Outfit, TX for getting that vibe going. Ever the instigators, the Dallas trio got the party started in Deep Ellum on this night, lighting a fire beneath the crowd that would stay sparked through their set, as well as the ones that followed from Father’s Awful Records crew and for Father himself.
And Father, this time around, didn’t throw water on that blaze. Unlike his set in Denton at Hailey’s for Oaktopia, he didn’t shy away from performing his biggest his to date at this offering; rather, he embraced the love for “Look At Wrist,” performing it with glee.
It was nuts — especially for a Sunday night.
Shout out to all the Monday morning hangover-havers out there.
