Southern Lord Signs Fort Worth's Wild//Tribe.

Turns out Ronnie Fauss getting signed to New West Records isn't the only local signing of note of late.

Fort Worth hardcore punk six-piece Wild//Tribe announced via a Facebook posting last week that it too had inked a new deal — this one with Goatsnake guitarist Greg Anderson's Los Angeles-based Southern Lord Records, the one-time home for such acts as Om, Pentagram and Thou, and the current home of such speaker destroyers as Boris, Earth, Pelican, Wolves in the Throne Room and Sunn O))). Impressive company, no doubt.

The band says they'll start recording their new LP for Southern Lord in March, but a listen to their last release shows without a shadow of a doubt that volume and velocity won't be a problem for this outfit moving forward.
