Tech N9ne Gathers The Juggalos at Palladium Ballroom.

A change of seasons means a change in fashion. For us at Central Track HQ, that means we start unpacking our somewhat embarrassingly large collection of jorts.

But for most everybody else, the start of spring means an emphases on this season's newest fashions and the necessity to update the wardrobe. We've already seen hints of it going around all week, with SMU holding their fashion week events and whatnot, but tonight a couple of other big fashion-conscious happenings go down as well. Not only will a highly-acclaimed designer make a personal appearance at Saks tonight, but another big spring fashion show is going on over at Mockingbird Station.

Plus, as we've mentioned the past few days, the Dallas Comedy Festival continues on tonight with performances over in Deep Ellum. Oh, and yet another big hip-hop tour stops by the Palladium.

What to Wear Spring Fashion Event at Mockingbird Station
Now that spring is officially here, it's a good time for a poolside fashion show. And, from 6 to 8 p.m. on the roof of The Lofts residences in Mockingbird Station, there will be a poolside runway featuring the latest trends in spring vacation-ready attire. There will also be cocktails, some noms from nearby Rockfish and a panel featuring DFW Style Daily editors as well as a few of the Station's most popular retailers.

Ippolita at Saks Fifth Avenue
Her pieces have been worn by celebs like Emma Stone, Mila Kunis and Kim Kardashian, but, tonight, the highly respected, and somewhat reclusive jewelry designer Ippolita will be making a very rare public appearance at the Saks Fifth Avenue located at 13350 Dallas Parkway.

Fashion Week at SMU
SMU's fashion week events start heading towards the homestretch tonight with a Styling and Designing panel at 6 p.m. at the Umphrey Lee Center. The panel includes: Tammy Theis, owner of Wallflower Management; Tamar Minassian, Tootsies stylist; Mikki Trizza, assistant stylist at Neiman Marcus Direct; and fashion designers Elizabeth Aynaa and Kira Plastinina.

Tech N9ne at Palladium Ballroom
Somehow over the last few years, Tech N9ne, one of the most successful independent rappers ever, has aligned himself with the likes of the Insane Clown Posse and their hyper-loyal juggalo fan base. It makes sense why an artist unaffiliated with the major label system would want to attract a built-in group of fans as wholly-devoted as ICP's, but for whatever reason the so-called juggalo family has embraced Tech N9ne right back. His current tour hits 90 cities in 99 days, making it (according to his own advertising) “the longest rap tour of all time.” Expect plenty of face paint among the palladium crowd tonight.

Dallas Comedy Festival at Dallas Comedy House
Tonight, the festival changes directions a bit with its nightly comedy show offering. In lieu of the standup routines they've been going with the last two nights, tonight's shows will feature improve and sketch comedy troupes from across the U.S., including Chicago's The Show. Performance times are at 7, 9 and 10:30 p.m. (Check the schedule here to see who is performing when.)
