Sip And Sample At The Big Texas Beer Fest.

Capping off this huge, art-filled weekend — aka The Big Week in Big D — we celebrate with beer drinking and shopping, two things we Dallasites are pretty good at. A couple of craft beer-centric happenings handle the beer part, and a neighborhood-wide arts and craft fair in Oak Cliff take care of the shopping aspect. If craft brews aren't your thing, perhaps a cocktail on the Three Sheets patio while you await your turn in the barber chair is more your speed?

Big Texas Beer Fest at Fair Park Automobile Building
At today's Big Texas Beer Fest, over 300 beers will be available for tasting, representing 80-plus craft breweries throughout the country. For a full list of confirmed breweries participating in the event, check this page. Cheeses and craft sodas will also be available for sampling, and The O's and Fish Fry Bingo will each perform.

Urban Street Bazaar at Bishop Arts
All throughout the increasingly adorable Bishop Arts neighborhood today and tomorrow, 50 vendors will be hawking their arts, crafts and other handmade wares. It should be kind of like if etsy.com were a real place one could visit.

Erykah Badu and the Cannabinoids at Rio Room
To commemorate the Dallas International Film Festival, The Dallas Art Fair, and Dallas Biennale all going down the same weekend, the Rio Room has been bringing in top-notch DJ talent from around the globe. To cap off the art-filled weekend, they're holding a DMA Art Ball after-party, which will feature a private performance by Erykah Badu and the Cannabinoids.

Ciclovia de Dallas at Houston Street Viaduct Bridge
As far as cities go, Dallas, we would say, is fairly progressive. It is not, however, always the most bike-friendly place. One of the coolest parts of this afternoon's Ciclovia de Dallas — which will also feature bike races, kite flying, yoga, and live music among other activities — is the fact that the Houston Street Viaduct will be closed to vehicular traffic, allowing riders to safely traverse from Downtown to Oak Cliff.

April Ale Week at Meddlesome Moth
Meddlesome Moth's week-long celebration of their second anniversary continues tonight with the bar tapping Fort Worth brewery Rahr and Sons' Regulator doppelbock and (512) Brewing Company's whiskey barrel-aged pecan porter.

Pop-up barbershop at Three Sheets
Continuing today and tomorrow is Charlie Price's pop-up barbershop on the Three Sheets patio. The event put on by the namesake of the Hair By Charlie salon is a chance to get a haircut from a nationally-known stylist while also helping the Boot Campaign charity.
