The Memphis-Based, Dallas Adored Lucero Celebrates Its Newest Album At Trees.

Sure, it was a busy music night in North Texas with The Jesus and Mary Chain and SBTRKT each playing noteworthy shows in the region. But Dallas has always had a soft spot for Memphis alt-country powerhouse Lucero, and, as such, their die-hard fans still showed up in droves to Trees to catch them perform last night.

Perhaps that's because this wasn't just another show. Just one day before this performance, the band released its latest full-length, studio album of working class singalongs, Women and Work. This Dallas show — perhaps because this band knows well where its bread is buttered — was meant to celebrate that new release.

And celebrate they did.
