The Amazing Uses of Cardboard on Display at One Arts Plaza.

As the D.I.Y. and green trend continues to explode, more and more artists are finding new and interesting ways comment on it. And, subsequently, more and more of them are finding ways to do so while simultaneously keeping their bank accounts in check.

Perhaps no medium serves as a better example of this capitalization than cardboard, one of the most durable materials of our time. As versatile, useful and inexpensive materials go, cardboard just might be tops. And that much has been on full display of late in the One Arts Plaza building. To celebrate the second annual celebration of Engineering & Humanity Week, the building hosted an exhibit called “Cut It Out” to celebrate the use of the recycled and recyclable medium as a source of innovation, inspiration and novelty.

True to its goal, the display is quite inspiring, as these pictures show. Better hurry if you want to see these works in person, though; the exhibit only runs through today.
