Once More, The Polyphonic Spree Brought Much-Needed Holiday Joy To Dallas This Weekend.
Santa Claus was there. Some reindeer, too. And, also, penguins, comedians, magicians, dancers, stilt-walkers and more.
Yes, The Polyphonic Spree yet once again took to Downtown Dallas' Majestic Theatre on Saturday night to host its 13th almost-annual Holiday Extravaganza, assisted this time with all of the above characters, plus children's performer Gustafer Yellowgold and tweenage Dallas comedian Saffron Herndon.
Spectacle has never been an issue for the Spree to begin with, but it's even less of one at this recurring, exceedingly family-friendly bash, where Tim DeLaughter and his merry pranksters cobble together any and all at least somewhat cheerful elements they can muster and present them alongside two performances of their own — one holiday-themed, one more traditionally rock-oriented.
It's one of Dallas' great winter events, year in an year out. Lucky us, then, that our own Karlo X. Ramos was on hand to capture all the magic with his camera for your viewing pleasure. Check out a selection of his shots from Saturday below.
