Beware The Tattoo Invasion.
Get this: Google has been testing a self-driving car that recently made a 300,000 mile drive, completely unscathed.
OK, that's not true. The thing did crash once. But, to be fair, it was only a fender bender. And it was in a parking lot. And it was after a human driver took control of the wheel.
So, yeah, when the company says that consumers, in all likelihood, will be able to purchase these cars by 2015, we tend to believe them.
Just keep in mind that — for now, at least — this technology is out of your reach. Till that changes, we recommend human designated drivers.
