This week, thousands of Dallas adolescents head back to school, back to school to prove to their dads that they're not fools.

So what does that mean to you? Provided you're not a teacher, not much other than those annoying school zone lights are going to be on and flashing in full force. And you can bet the good folks at the DPD will more than happy to hand out tickets to anyone driving through those zones at any speed faster than 20 miles per hour.

Maybe do some due diligence today while you've still got the chance: Plot out an alternate, school-zone-free route for your daily drive and set your alarms to make sure you'll be on the road before they come on. Basically, just do whatever it takes to ensure you're not going to be hit with an outrageous fine this week.

Because, when you get a look at what all is going on this week you're going to be glad you've got the extra cash around to spend.
