Have a Ball.
Last week, in what might be a first for self-driving cars, one of Google's driverless SUVs cut off another car, which happened to be an unmanned Audi being tested by Delphi Automotive. In spite of the fact that no humans were driving, the two cars were operating different automated driving programs, and despite the fact that Google's car was kind of a dick, the collision was avoided.
That might not have been the case had a human being behind the wheel of one or both vehicles. It's pretty amazing to think about all the ways computers have changed our lives. Just think: Without them, we would have to call each of you up individually to give you the lowdown on the week's goings on, instead of posting the below for your convenience.
