Bring Da Noise.
By now your Facebook feed has been inundated with “Year in Review” posts generated by one of the site's complex, secret algorithms. For some folks, though, the posts were more than just unwanted, reminding them of terrible or otherwise painful events from the past year, such as the death of a loved one. It was a big enough problem that Jonathan Gheller, the product manager for the “Year in Review” app had to issue a formal apology.
For other people, though, the “Year in Review” post was just a reminder of how painfully boring their lives were in 2014. To those people, we say, be the captain of your own ship this year. Resolve to get out more and live a little bit in the coming year.
