Laissez Bon Temps Rouler!

Though we're not all that close to New Orleans — and though the religious aspects of the celebration have long been overlooked — there's a good chance that many of you will take part in some sort of Mardi Gras-related partying this week.

And there's nothing wrong with that. It's good to blow off some steam in the middle of the work week on occasion.

Let's just try to keep some perspective while we're embarking on such heavy duty celebrating: Whereas Mardi Gras boasts a reputation as an “anything goes” type of holiday, just remember that this won't necessarily keep you from facing the consequences should you get a little too out of hand.

Crazy as it sounds, the “I didn't know I couldn't do that” excuse doesn't often work with officers of the law.
