Blame The Booty.
If you have absolutely any plans to be productive over these next few days, do not start playing Threes, the deceptively simple new puzzle game that's been sweeping the web of late.
We're not sure how combining like-numbered blocks can be so magnificently addictive, but our freshly drained iPhone battery says otherwise.
And that's not just hyperbole, either. This game is so mesmerizing that it's possible that even a list of things to do tonight — much like the one we've compiled below — won't prove compelling enough to lure you off the couch tonight.
Consider you all warned.
Leslie & the LYs, Dean & Delilah and Boone County Comedy Troupe at Dada
Attention Junior Gems: Your leader, the Mother Gem herself, will be doing her beaded sweater-wearing, satirical rapping thing tonight at Dada. Fellow musicomedy outfits Dean & Delilah and Boone County Comedy Troupe will ensure the night will be sufficiently filled with both laughter and song. — Porschia Paxton
Dirty Filthy Diamonds at Margo Jones Theatre
It can be hard enough just to find fresh ways to talk about womanhood or to create a compelling dialogue about the quote-unquote new female. But the locals in Danielle Georgiou's dance troupe will offer up more than just conversation tonight. They'll create a dialogue on the topic through their collaborative, immersive dance. The show runs through March 3, but catch it early tonight. —PP
Celebrity Spelling Bee at Dallas City Performance Hall
If you are looking for A-list celebrities tonight, this is not the event you are looking for. The local “celebrities” that are participating in this second annual event include Dallas mayor Mike Rawlings, the co-host of Storage Wars, an ex-Bachelor contestant and, well, more people like that. On the other hand the event benefits Reading Partners' literacy intervention program, so there's that. — PP
Local Education No. 6 at Three Links
The sixth installment of King Camel's locally-centric, horizon-widening, music series will feature performances Denton bands Terminator 2 and Vulgar Fashion, plus hidden Dallas gem Hex Cult. — PP
Learn to Curl at Dr Pepper Star Center (Farmers Branch)
Head out to Farmers Branch for one of the last in the Dr Pepper Star Center's current round of introductory curling classes before beginner league play starts up in March. Maybe, just maybe, it'll be your first step towards finally fulfilling your Olympic dream. See you in Korea! — Cory Graves
