Drop It Like It's Hot.
If you've long been looking for a way to achieve internet fame, you can go ahead and cross chugging an entire bottle of Jack Daniels in 13 seconds off your list. Seems a man in Wales has been there, done that.
Oh, and while you're at it, just go ahead and cross off chugging two bottles, too. Not because it's been done, but mostly just because you probably wouldn't live long enough to upload the clip to YouTube before puking your way into the next plane.
Besides, you'll want to hold it together tonight, anyway. That way you'll at least stand a chance of enjoying some of tonight's happenings. — Cory Graves
J Boog at Gas Monkey Bar and Grill
If there's one surefire way to “make it” in the music biz it's to take a handful of oft-maligned genres and try and force them together. Not really. Still, against all odds J Boog's done pretty OK for himself with his Hawaiian/reggae/R&B mish-mash. Hell, 2011's “Let Me Know” was even something of a hit. Go figure. — CG
Full of Hell, Noisem, Baring Teeth and Tyrannosorceress at Three Links
While the guttural lyrics that come spewing through the gravel-throated filter of Full of Hell's frontman aren't always 100 percent intelligible, you don't really need to understand them to really get a sense of what the band's mix of feedback, droning noise and crushing hardcore is all about. Lyrics about families getting cooked alive and piles of dead horses — just to name a few bleak subjects the band will touch upon tonight — do take things up a notch, though. — CG
'80s Night at Rubber Gloves
One of the biggest complaints we often hear about Denton is that things in that part of the world never seem to change. Not so, we say! These Yeahdef-helmed, '80s-themed dance parties, for instance, used to take place over at Hailey's. Nowadays, not only has the thing moved across the train tracks to Gloves, but Yeahdef's since gone all-vinyl with the thing, too. How's that for a change of pace? — CG

Listen up, movie lovers: Central Track has teamed up with Fox Searchlight to present an advance screening of the The Drop this evening. The film stars Tom Hardy (Bane from The Dark Knight Rises) and the late, great James Gandolfini (The Sopranos), so you won't want to miss this one. Don't believe us? Check out the trailer here. And if you want to join us at the screening here's what you need to do: Head here, where you can register to attend and print out your pass, which you'll need to bring with you to get into the screening itself. — Chase Whale
Future Funk Lounge at Sundown
Need a throwback moment? Joining DJs Mikey Rodge and Jumbii at their future funk/electro soul/glitch-hop-heavy weekly tonight is 21-year-old French producer CloZee, who is currently on her first U.S. tour. Like all of Sundown's music offerings, this one will be free. Take note, though, that they recently bumped up the start time of those offerings to 10 p.m. — Ashley Gongora
