Watch Pujol Get Nasty and Brutish At Dada.
Yeah, today kinda feels like hump day. But fret not, dear reader: The weekend starts tomorrow night. That alone should alleviate some of those fears you had of burning the proverbial candle at both ends tonight. Because, actually, tonight's options are pretty great. You could drive all the way out to Fort Worth and throw caution to the wind by seeing a second concert after the early evening Quaker City Nigh Hawks show in Dallas wraps up. Or, y'know, you could just shop until you literally drop during tonight's Fashion's Night Out proceedings.
Skeleton Coast at Lola's
They've been quietly building up quite the healthy little music scene out in Cow Town of late. And Skeleton Coast, Ice Eater and Year of the Bear represent three of the area's newest and most promising acts. Tonight, they perform together on one bill.
Pujol at Dada
Don't look now, but the former ground zero for the rhinestone cowboy just might be the biggest hotbed of punk-infused rock in the country at the moment. Jeff the Brotherhood, Natural Child, Turbo Fruits, The Features, Heavy Cream and Pujol all hail from the home of the Grand Ole Opry. And, yes, Pujol performs tonight at Dada with local punk-inspired outfits Soviet and The Longshots.

The Sparrow Project release party at Kessler Theater
For over three years, local designer Abbie Chesney has been collecting used guitar strings from local artists like Rhett Miller, Jon Dufilho and Ryan Thomas Becker, turning them into jewelry she sells to benefit the Carter Albrecht Music Foundation. Recently, Salim Nourallah, a friend of Albrecht and the producer behind his only solo LP, helped Chesney to curate a disc of songs by local musicians in Albrecht's honor. A release show for that disc, featuring Nourallah, John Lefler, Chris Holt, Sammy Strittmater and comedian Dave Little, goes down tonight at the Kessler.
