K8 Hardy at the Dallas Contemporary
Turns out, the catwalk at the Dallas Contemporary today won't actually feature felines painted in the style of Jackson Pollock tonight. Instead, there will be a fashion show featuring the works of K8 Hardy, a stylist and queer-feminist collective founder. Her work challenges the ideas of how people dress themselves and the views of style in society as a whole. Check out this cat-less catwalk and see some serious style.
Leon Russell at AT&T Performing Arts Center
Legendary musician, Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee and majestic beard-wearer Leon Russell will be performing at the AT&T Performing Arts Center's Strauss Square tonight. The show is also BYOB, so bring a beer and let Leon groove his way into your heart.
Onya Stereo at It'll Do Club's Queen Night
Last week, drag queen Manilla Luzon stopped by It'll Do Dallas for a performance, and this week, local drag artist Onya Stereo will be the grandmaster of the show. Keep checking by every Thursday, because It'll Do will have a different (or some reoccurring locals) drag queen featured every Thursday at this now-weekly event.
Outdoor Market Pops Up In Design District
Deep Ellum Outdoor Market and Jim Lake Companies are teaming up to bring Dallas its first Design District Market. In between Dragon and Slocum on Cole Street (which will be shut down for this event), the Design District Market will feature street vendors, live music, food trucks, activities and local beer. It's free to attend, too, running from 5 to 10 p.m. It's a perfect opportunity for all of you who may have been looking to discover some new, cool, local Dallas businesses.
The Rise and Fall of The Clash at the Texas Theatre
Clash fans, take note: The Texas Theatre will be hosting the first Dallas screening of The Rise and Fall of The Clash at 7:30 tonight. The showing will be followed by a Q&A with director Danny Garcia and an after-party with DJ Clint Phillips (who we bargain might play some songs by The Clash in his set). The film itself is said to detail the rise and decline of the band, complete with concert footage and never-before-seen interviews with band's members.

If you're down for some party beats to dance to, head over to Granada tonight to see Denver-based artist Paper Diamond perform with openers ProtoHype and Clicks & Whistles. This show is sure to have a lot of energy.
