You Could Be Wrong or Your Could Be Right with PiL at the Granada Theater Tonight.
Halloween is over. It's done. For all you know, it'll never happen again. (Chances are it will, though.)
Now the worst — and scariest — part of the season arrives: taking your decorations down. Between all your jack-o-lanterns and spider web-themed table cloths, you've got a lot of work to do.
Fortunately, there are some ways you can get out of this task. You can:
• never take your decorations down.
• hire greedy neighborhood children to do all the work for you.
• check out this list of better stuff to do in Dallas.
We recommend the last bullet.
Public Image Ltd at Granada
John Lydon's Public Image Ltd stops in Dallas tonight for a show at the Granada Theater. The band will also be doing a merch-singing session at Good Records this afternoon. Be forewarned, though: The band requested that no one bring any Sex Pistols stuff to the signing session, because they will not sign it. So don't be that guy. Doors at 7 p.m.
Richard Lewis at Addison Improv
Humor legend Richard Lewis performs stand-up tonight at the Addison Improv. He may hate himself, but that doesn't mean you have to.
The Front Bottoms and Cheap Girls at the Prophet Bar
Alternative acts The Front Bottoms and Cheap Girls perform at the Prophet Bar on their way to Fun Fun Fun Fest. Doors at 7 p.m.
Converge, Torche, Kvelertak and Enabler at Club Dada
This seriously rocking bill of acts also headed to Fun Fun Fun Fest will melt your face and tear up your ears. Definitely bust out that your Axl Rose wig you've been saving for this one. Wait, it's not Halloween any more? Crap. Doors at 7 p.m..
Musician's Swap Meet at Ferralog Studios
Been needing a chance to get rid of your old tuba? In the market for a cowbell? Fate is smiling down upon you and your specific needs today, as musicians and musical instrument owners alike will get the chance to swap some of their old stuff for something else at this Deep Ellum studio.
Non-Perishable Comedy Deal at Dallas Comedy House
Starting today — and continuing for every Thursday in November — you can get into the Dallas Comedy House for half the cost if you bring two canned food items to the door. That's a pretty sweet deal, seeing as you can laugh at comics while helping those in need. All donations go to the North Texas Food Bank. Doors for these comedy events will be at 9 p.m.
Bob Dylan at Verizon Theatre
Bob Dylan. Need we say more? Actually, yes: The doors for this one are kind of hilariously early, opening at 6:30 p.m.
