Come Away With Norah Jones Tonight.
Just because the State Fair of Texas wound down this past weekend doesn't mean Dallas nightlife comes to a complete stop. And just because Big Tex may no longer be with us doesn't mean your Monday night plans have to go up in flames, too. You can pour one out for the big guy whilst saluting a fellow famous North Texan at the Norah Jones show. Or you can just take in one of the many other of tonight's offerings. Tex would have wanted it this way.
Rodriguez at House of Blues
The best thing that ever happened to Rodriguez was when the world thought that he was dead. When his short-lived '70s pop career fizzled out, rumors of his suicide made him more famous than ever — so famous, in fact, that he doesn't need a first name. Rodriguez's revived indie-folk incarnation makes an appearance in at the House of Blues tonight.
Norah Jones at McFarlin Auditorium
Booker T. Washington High School graduate Norah Jones may be playing a homecoming gig tonight at SMU's McFarlin Auditorium. But what's the big deal? It's not like she's even Booker T.'s most famous graduate. Edie “Mrs. Paul Simon” Brickell and Erykah Badu might be two others that try to lay claim to that title, but, let's be honest, Todd, “the waiter from Office Space with all the 'flair'” has got that distinction on lock.
Presidential Debate at Texas Theatre
At this point, we doubt there are really that many people left that are still undecided about who they'll vote for this upcoming presidential election. But watching the debate in a public setting isn't really about that. Do a Google search for “debate drinking games” and you'll see what we mean.
Half-priced food at Stratos Greek Taverna
What's better than eating Greek food at a one-time strip club? Enjoying the leopard print carpet and top-notch tzatziki at half-price. Think of all the singles that'll leave in your wallet!
