Go Big with Rickie Fowler.
Toronto just finished an absolutely terrible week.
The Maple Leafs suffered a brutal loss to the Boston Bruins in Game 7 of their NHL playoff series, which is enough to ruin the week of any Canadian city, except that, in this case, it was just the beginning. Turns out Rob Ford, Toronto's naked-picture taking mayor, has maybe been literally smoking crack, too.
Anyway, my point is this: Monday's suck. But your day probably won't be as bad as Ford's. So keep your head up, Dallas. And, if just for one night, let's revel in the fact that we aren't Toronto.
Red Bull Off Course at Victory Park
Professional golfer Rickie Fowler comes to Victory Park for Red Bull's Off Course Series, which will find him attempting to hit a green in AT&T Plaza with blind shots taken from between Victory Park's buildings. Fowler's hit some incredible shots at previous stops on the tour, so this might not be as tricky as it first sounds.
Krisiun at Trees
Brazilian death metal trio Krisiun brings their brutal high-speed attack to Trees tonight. The group's last album, The Great Execution, was recorded on entirely analog equipment, so you can expect their live show to be pretty true to their studio sound.
Empire of the Sun at House of Blues
The synth-pop duo visits House of Blues tonight ahead of their June 14 release Ice on the Dune. Interested in checking it out? Well, you can't buy tickets to this Yahoo!-presented affair, unfortunately. But that doesn't mean you can't get in. Find the Easy Slider Truck for tickets or just pay crazy attention to this site.
Oil Boom Video Shoot at Lola's
Fort Worth rock outfit Oil Boom is asking for a packed house at Lola's Saloon out in Fort Worth, as the group is shooting a video for their “The Great American Shakedown” track. Show up in support and enjoy no cover, plus $4 top shelf you-call-its all night.
