Hold The Line with Major Lazer.
Feeling that weekend hangover as badly as we are this morning?
Yup, 35 Denton seriously kicked our asses. And — sucks to be us — unlucky us, we don't get a spring break. Being an adult sure blows sometimes.
At least there's plenty going on tonight to help get some blood pumping back in our veins.
Actually, the more we look at it, the more we realize that tonight's really looking pretty sweet. Plus, there's nothing like a little hair of the dog to help get us all back to making Mondays our collective bitch.
Major Lazer at the House of Blues
With Major Lazer en route to Austin for South by Southwest this week, the project's masterminds, Diplo and Switch, will be swinging through town tonight, at least in part to promote their sophomore LP, Free the Universe, which is due out on April 15. Anticipate a fervent crowd at this one, where you can also expect to see enough booty-dancing to last you the rest of the month. Dragonette and Mykki Blanco open.
Official Major Lazer After Party at the House of Blues
Head upstairs to the Foundation Room after Major Lazer's set ends and catch DJ Sober and S.O.U.L.Jah on the ones and twos. Oh, and they're also promising a surprise performance at this affair. Hmmm.
The Artist Presents: Invasion Festival at the Crown and Harp
In case you missed out on all the music festivities out in Denton this past weekend, you can check out this pre-SXSW party, which features over a dozen bands — all of them pretty fantastic — playing on two stages.
Pure X, Social Studies and The So So Glos at Club Dada
Mellow jams are more your speed? Check out Club Dada tonight. Austin-based noise-poppers Pure X headlines tonight's stacked triple-bill.
