Sail On, Sailor.

Did you hear about the guy who left his son in the hot car, allegedly to die, all while he was busy texting underage girls?

Meet Justin Ross Harris, idiot extraordinaire!

Apparently, the dude wanted out of his marriage — oh, and his responsibility as a parent. Worse, a warrant search of his Google history also supposedly found that he was looking for the right temperature at which a toddler would die of heat in a car.

Yeesh.

Oh, and don't worry. There is indeed a very special place for this guy in hell.

Fortunately for you, on the other hand, the below events should help you keep cool as you continue to nurse your post-Fourth of July hangover. — Chase Whale

Warehouse Sale at Edo Popken
As stylish and, well, as damn cute as they may be, $300 for a pair of boat shorts is still a bit pricey for most common folk. This week only, though, Swiss designer Edo Popken is clearing out his Dallas warehouse to make room for next season's goods. Everything he's got left will go for 50 to 70 percent — off while supplies last. — Cory Graves

Badass Jazz at Amsterdam Bar
While Monday is typically a slow night for most bars, it remains one of the Amsterdam’s busiest. That much be credited to local sax wizard Shelly Carrol and his crop of old-school jazz cronies. Just because there’s no cover charge doesn't mean this isn't the best jazz event in town. Don't believe us? Carrol proves as much on a weekly basis. —CG

Cool Out at Crown and Harp
The club may have a new name, but to the crowds of service industry folks and dancefloor junkies who've been flocking to DJ Tony Schwa's Monday night offerings since circa 2007, not much else has changed. And since returning to its original location in June 2013, this weekly dance party seems to have been thriving more now than ever. —CG
