Help Erykah Badu Honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Lucky enough to have the day off from work or school today? Don't gloat too much. Not today.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, after all, is about celebrating our equality. In other words: If you're in the have-day-off-camp, none of us in the don't-have-day-off camp want to hear you talking about it.
Dr. King didn't fight the good fight so you could lord that over us. That wasn't his dream. Nor, for that matter, is it Kendrick Lamar's.
Plus, all things being equal, there are better ways for you to spend your Monday.

Zorch, Ava Luna, Cerulean Giallo and Celestial Shore at Macaroni Island
Last time I saw Austin electronic duo Zorch, they tried to organize a dodgeball game in the middle of their concert. That pretty much tells you everything you need to know about whether this band's performances are a good time, I think.

This sucker's been going on since 1896. It must have some redeeming qualities, right?
