Get Your Post-Rock On With The Appleseed Cast.
It's here! The communal, post-Super Bowl hangover! Yes, together as a nation, we're all suffering this morning.
The toughest Monday of the year? Maybe. But there are still some totes adorbz, eye-opening and toe-tapping things going on today for you to do. Time to get this week crack-a-lacking.
Meerkats 3D at the Perot Museum
Starting today, the Perot Museum of Nature and Science is presenting Meerkats 3D through March 24 in its 300-person screening room. Everyone's favorite 12-inch-tall, gang-banging rodents of the Kalahari Desert are the stars of this hour-long journey about cuddly adventures and perils of a meerkat's life. Ticket purchases require creating a free account with the Perot Museum's site and cost $6 to $8.
Piccadilly Circus at Resistol Arena in Mesquite
What the hell is a Piccadilly? A “fun circus,” basically. Adult general admission is $28, but this sucker's also just $8 for children. Plus, it's really fun to just say “Piccadilly” over and over again.
The Appleseed Cast at Macaroni Island
As part of their special house show tour, The Appleseed Cast will be shaking the stages of Denton house venue Macaroni Island with instrumentation sure to draw fans of Radiohead and Explosions In The Sky alike. This post-rock show kicks off at 8 p.m. and tickets are $25. A steep price? Maybe not: Only 65 attendees are allowed into this one.
Koffin Kats at the Double Wide
“Psychobilly” isn't as fun to say as “Piccadilly,” but it's pretty close.
