Trade In Your Dishrag For A Signature Steak.
When was the last time you experienced true bliss? More specifically, when was the last time you were as happy as this Pomeranian when he gets his hairs trimmed?
I'm guessing it's been a while. I mean, just look at that face.
Now, I'm not saying that if you go out tonight you'll definitely find anything that makes you feel as happy as a puppy getting groomed, but you've got a better shot at it than if you just sit at home. And you'll have an even better shot at it with the following list in hand. — Cory Graves
Ishi at RBC (Free)
Each year when a birthday comes around, you can only wish for a great party. Well, if you didn't get the one you wished for, you can always crash someone else's. Try this free birthday party shindig headlined by Ishi. By that point in the night, you'll probably feel like you're sitting among thousands of white balloons with lasers crisscrossing over your plane of vision. But, to get geared up for that you will be privileged to some of the best noise-core, industrial and darkwave bands to set foot in Deep Ellum. The list includes Orgullo Primitivo, BVTHOUSE, B.S. CONCACAF Olympic Qualifiers at Toyota Stadium
As most know, the U.S. Women's National Team is fresh off winning gold in the 2015 World Cup. Yet, they still have some qualifying to do before pushing off to the CONACAF tournament. They've already dominated against Costa Rica (5-0) and have Mexico and Puerto Rico to face. The new girls on the pitch, Dunn, Horan, Pugh and Hinkle, have been showing some early promise in their first games with USWNT. The match versus Mexico took place over the weekend, while the Puerto Rico match is today. — < em>RA
Grammy Watching Party at Del Frisco's Grille
Before he traded in his dishrag for a guitar, Fort Worth's Leon Bridges used to ply his craft manning the three-compartment sinks at Del Frisco's Grille in Fort Worth. Now that he's up for Best R&B Album at tonight's Grammy's, his old employers are throwing a little watching party for their boy. — CG
johnwayneisdead at J&J's Pizza
Johnwayneisdead is a Houston outlaw punk band that focuses on the basics. The band has a stripped-back approach to their genre that's not very cutting-edge or different, but it has a solid, classic punk sound that's fun to listen to all the same. — Paul Wedding
Silence of the Lambs at Alamo Drafthouse (Richardson)
It really has been 25 years since you were freaked out by Buffalo Bill's tuck job. What better way to celebrate than to view The Silence of The Lambs one more time in the theater. Lambs raked in the Oscars in 1991. It won Best Picture, Director (Jonathan Demme), Actor (Anthony Hopkins), Actress (Jodie Foster) and Screenplay (Ted Tally). Needless to say this masterpiece is well worth a million views. — RA
Five-Year Anniversary at Il Cane Rosso
Cane Rosso is on their fifth year of amazing pizza service, and they want to give you presents. How generous! No, but really, they are selling $1 margherita, marinara and foccacia pizzas; tapping beers from Community and Lakewood breweries with a commemorative glass; and an insane birthday dessert pizza. Hell yeah! Pizza party! — RA
