Just Be.
Happy Cyber Monday, you guys! It's the national shopping holiday that US News says it's best to avoid, so there's that.
Don't avoid the interwebs altogether today, though, or you'll miss out on all kinds of other good stuff.
For instance? Posts like this one, which have the scoop on all of tonight's best goings-on.
Ace Frehley at Trees
KISS's 1974 single “Cold Gin” — which was penned by its Space Ace — is one of the all-time great drinking songs. Flat out. Good thing, then, that Frehley ditched the rest of those painted clowns and their stadium tours a decade ago.
Common at House of Blues
Tonight Kanye's smooth-rapping pal will bring his jazz-infused beats and crochet pants to Dallas. Except the part about the pants. Come on, that joke is so 2001.
Soul Glo at Crown and Harp (Free)
It's the first Monday of the month, which means DJ Red Eye will be upstairs at Crown and Harp tonight, spinning “R&B disco soul, sleazy NYC soul leaned disco [and] lowdown funk.” Meanwhile, downstairs, Dallas' best drummer (read: Stefan Gonzalez) will be hosting his weekly gathering of the city's most daring musicians. This week, for instance, it'll be Beach Priest, Orgullo Primitivo, Cygnus and Tidals holding court. Both events are free.
