Just in case you forgot that education is important and that it’s always a good idea to think before you speak, a shining testament to both of these facts played out on Twitter on the Fourth of July.

Modifying its annual tradition of reading on-air the Declaration of Independence each Independence Day, NPR tweeted out the words of that founding document line by line this year — only to get berated by Trump supporters who didn’t recognize the language and assumed NPR was going out of its way to knock the president.

There’s really no defending an uninformed public, folks. Fortunately, that’s not a concern for you, at least so far as being aware of what’s happening around Dallas on a day-by-day  basis goes, anyway.
