On the surface, avocado toast is a simple dish that shouldn’t cost more than $7 or  $8 to make at home.

But this generation has turned the dish into the holy grail of simple dishes. Restaurants in Dallas have taken not and they’ve thrown together their own versions of it.

The dish isn’t showing any signs of dying down in popularity nor should it because avocado is delicious, even in its most hipster, gentrified form.
