What's The Secret To New Dallas Pizza Spot Zalat's Late-Night Success?

Welcome to a new video feature on Central Track that we're calling The Makers. Here, our video crew will highlight the people behind some of the coolest things going on around the region.

Dallas' late-night pizza game changed big-time earlier this year when Khanh Nguyen — already the owner of the late-night-crowd-friendly, pho-centric DaLat –announced that he was entering the Dallas pizza fray with a stoner-friendly mindset and a drunk-ready mentality. I mean, add in the fact that the pizza's also super solid and that this new spot, called ZaLat, was also taking delivery orders via text?

C'mon, it's a no-brainer that this spot's been so successful, so quickly.

Or is it? We recently caught up with Nguyen for a tour of his shop to find out the secret to ZaLat's early success. Here's what we found. — Kalan Briggs
