Meet The Rad Dudes Behind The Dallas Is Dallas Concept.
I'll concede some bias when it comes to my admiration for Hance Taplin and Jordan Rogers. The former helped us launch this here site by bringing various design concepts to the table (including the now-infamous sidescroll idea), and the latter's a photographer whose work we've been trying to feature in our pages for months, if not years, at this point.
So it's cool, then, to see someone else giving these guys their just due. Last week, the team behind Mountain Dew's Green Label featured Taplin and Rogers as part of its ongoing “Hidden Photography” video series, which aims to highlight some of the cooler boundary-pushing photographers in various cities across the country. In the segment dedicated to Taplin and Rogers' efforts, that means looking into the twosome's “Dallas Is Dallas” venture, which, beyond a flawless, urban explorer-inclined Instagram account, also stands as a Centre-backed clothing brand and a progressive art show curatorial entity.
Individually, these two are obvious badasses, serving as Dallas streetwear design pillars and extreme photography daredevils.
Together, however, they're somehow onto something even cooler. And the below video, in which the pair is followed around town doing their thing, does a great job of showing that. Check it out.
