Morrissey Is Coming! Morrissey Is Coming! Wait. To Wichita Falls? Huh?
Well, this is curious.
The great Morrissey is heading out on an international tour this summer, hitting Belgium, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Portugal and the United Kingdom. After that, as his schedule currently stands, he's taking a break for a couple months before playing a single show in November here in the States. And better yet, here in Texas.
But, see, here's the kicker. He's not playing Dallas. He's not playing Austin. He's not even playing Houston or, hell, Marfa.
Morrissey is playing Wichita Falls.
Yes, really. According to his own website, Morrissey is slated to perform a show at the Kay Yeager Coliseum in Wichita Falls on Wednesday, November 28.
It's a little odd, yes. But, then again, so is Moz. And, hey, having seen Morrissey live before, we can say that, yes, his show is worth the two-hour-plus drive it'll take to get there.
So get ready to buy your tickets to the show, beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 22, when they go on sale. Just be ready to do that much in quite the old-school manner: Tickets to this show are to be purchased by calling the Kay Yeager Coliseum Box Office at 940-716-5555.
