Until this podcast, I've never gotten around to sitting down and discussing the unavoidable cultural force that is Seth MacFarlane. But here, joined by Success Magazine's Josh Ellis and through the lens of Ted 2, I finally get that chance.
It's a pretty balanced talk, I think — and mostly thanks to Josh's takes. I'm not especially inclined to give the benefit of the doubt to MacFarlane's crass brand of humor, but Josh is more open to it. He's less open, however, to some of the movie's structural issues, which falls in line with my thinking.
All that said, though, when a bear gets embroiled in a domestic incident, there's some good humor to be found there there. But is it enough to rise above this film's shortcomings?
Let's talk it out and see.
