Talking 10 Cloverfield Lane and What Kind Of Dude John Goodman Really Is.

Welcome to TC's Movie Podcast, which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. Wanna talk movies? Hey, so does TC! So listen up. And if you like what you hear, head here to subscribe to TC's Movie Podcast on iTunes. Or just make a note in your phone calendars to check back in with us each Friday to hear a new episode. Either way, really. Find the archives here.

Turns out 10 Cloverfield Lane is a tremendous movie, and I'm excited to tell you all of the reasons why I feel that way. Basically, director Dan Trachtenberg makes a bunch of choices here that are different from what you might expect to see from movies centering around this kind of story.

Actually, the story isn't all that common. You have to take a fairly wide definition to include other movies in “this kind of story.” Joining me to talk about it here is Austin Guttery, a (kind of former) coworker of mine at KTCK 1310-AM The Ticket and just an overall very talented guy.

Just keep in mind that, as with all of our podcasts, this one presumes you've seen the film before listening. So don't get mad at any spoilers, OK?

OK.
