Back when we did the episode about The Big Short, Central Track editor guy Pete asked Tim DeLaughter if he would come onto this podcast since his band, The Polyphonic Spree, was in that movie. Tim was busy then and couldn't make it, but things worked out just fine: DeLaughter's fellow Polyphonic Spree member Mark Pirro came on instead, providing some great insights and participating in a great conversation about that film. And Tim promised that he would join us at another time.
Not ones to let that opportunity slip by, we immediately asked him if there was any movie coming up he knew he would want to talk about. Hail, Caeser! was his answer.
Which brings us to this episode. Here, we give the Coen Brothers' latest film a solid 15 to 20 minutes of discussion before swerving around to discuss the demise of Dallas' Lakewood Theater, bass fishing and plenty of other cool stuff.
Check it out.
