Why does everything have to be about 9/11? Seriously, you guys. It's a problem.
And it's a problem in the new film The Secret In Their Eyes, too. Well, OK, it's one of the problems. In spite of a great cast featuring Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman and Chiwetel Ejiofor, this mystery and thriller about guilt and the things that people hold with them has some issues.
Joining me in the studio this week to discuss those issues is a previous podcast guest who also happens to by my wife Megan. She and I disagree about the film's depiction of how people process their guilt. We also disagree with whether Ejiofor's Ray character is a jerk or not.
As huge Law & Order fans, however, we definitely agree that crime movies and television shows can be great when done well.
So listen in as we talk all that out. Just remember that, as always, we record this podcast under the presumption that the listeners have also see the movie. So, to that end, be forewarned that spoilers abound.
