Talking The Gift and How Well You Really Know The People In Your Life.
Welcome to TC's Movie Podcast, which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. Wanna talk movies? Hey, so does TC! So listen up. And if you like what you hear, head here to subscribe to TC's Movie Podcast on iTunes. Or just make a note in your phone calendars to check back in with us each Friday to hear a new episode. Either way, really. Find the archives here.
Before you listen to this podcast in particular, I feel as if it needs to be said again: We do a lot of spoilers on this show. Sure, we hope that these episodes can be enjoyed by anyone, but they're made specifically with the person who has already seen the movie in mind.
I say that this week because The Gift, the new Joel Edgerton-directed Jason Bateman thriller, has a pretty sick ending that we can't not discuss in this setting.
In fact, this movie, which deals with how well you can really know the people in your lives, is chock full of things worth discussing.
For that reason, I think this is one of the best episodes of TC's Movie Podcast that we've recorded yet. In no small part, I credit that to the fact that I had my lifelong friend Nick Brooks for this recording — appropriate since the movie is about people who went to school together and then later meet again in the real world.
Nick's had some brushes with this kind of situation, so we talk about that here. We also share some thoughts on how adults often can be pretty unrecognizable from their high school selves. We have thoughts on a ton of things here, actually.
The Gift makes for some pretty rich subject material, in fact. Listen in to see what I mean.
