Watch: Ronnie Heart's “Tasty Destination.”
In the two years since we first shared the music that former Neon Indian guitarist Ronnie Heart had been working on since branching out on his own, the charismatic Fort Worthian has broken at least one promise he made to us back then.
But ditching that commitment — Heart has said he wouldn't perform out live until his debut solo LP was complete — has actually worked out fairly well for the burgeoning nu-disco artist.
It's increased his profile around town, that's for sure. And it's afforded him the chance to work with area videographers such as Chip Tompkins, who, along with producers Leah Thom and Maddison Piper (and an assist from Brooke MItchell's Fort Worth clothing boutique Coyote), has helped Heart in shaping his visual identity — the first taste of which can be seen below in Heart's just-released, debut music video.
