The Common Table Announces The Uptown Untapped Music and Beer Festival.
No sense in beating around the bush: Most of the time, music events in Uptown kind of suck. Aside from the shows at Renfield's Corner and, more recently, The Common Table, the bands playing shows in that part of town tend to be the ones that can't really get gigs elsewhere. (Apologies if you're in one of those bands.)
Fret not, though, Uptowners. A legit music festival — one featuring actual good bands, even — is headed your way soon.
On Saturday, September 8, Spune Productions and The Common Table will join forces to bring you the Uptown Untappped Festival in the Uptown spot's parking lot. The lineup is pretty sweet: Givers (pictured), The Antlers, Akron/Family, Burning Hotels, David Dondero and Fish Fry Bingo are all playing.
Oh, and there will be beer, too. Literally hundreds of different kinds, promoters say.
Should be a good time. So go ahead and snag your tickets here. Do so now, and access to just the music part is $20, access to both the music and beer parts are $30 and VIP access to the “rare” beer tastings is $60.
Cheers.
