Scenes From Last Night's Perfume Genius Show at Three Links.

The last time we saw Perfume Genius perform around these parts — back in March of 2012, when Mike Hadreas took his show to Dan's Silverleaf in Denton — we raved about the raw emotion the performer so bravely put on display.

And last night's offering at Three Links was no different, as Hadreas and his band rolled through town in support of September's Matador-release Too Bright. Once more, the audience was completely rapt, silent and totally engaged as it processed the gravitas of Perfume Genius' catalog.

It was a remarkable display, a testament to the strength of not only Hadreas' pop songwriting prowess but also his ability as an engaging performer.

After last night's showcase, we're fully convinced that this is just par for Perfume Genius' course. We can say it with complete confidence now: When Hadreas performs in town, you just go. Dude's just got the goods, OK?
