GZA Performing Liquid Swords Is Latest Add To Already Stacked Index Festival Bill in October.
Even back in early July, when we first broke the news about the two-day Index Festival coming to Trees in early October, we were wholly impressed by the bill, already set to feature Grimes, Washed Out, Portugal. The Man, Cold War Kids and Heartless Bastards. Then our jaws only farther dropped back on July 31, when we shared the news that Surfer Blood, DIIV and a few others had been added to the bill seemingly just because.
Now, if we're being perfectly honest, we're wondering if the folks over at Spune Productions, the entity behind the bill, have gone and completely lost their minds. Today, for reasons that just seem to border on the downright excessive, the festival went ahead and announced that it has added GZA — yes, The Genius himself — to its Saturday offerings.
And better yet, the revered Wu-Tang Clan member will be performing his seminal 1995 release, Liquid Swords in entirety as part of his performance.
Holy mother of hell, right?
And two-day passes are still going for $38 to boot. Better grab them tickets, y'all.
