What are you wearing? This is my favorite little black dress that I wear when I cannot decide what to wear. It's from ASOS. The top is a chambray shirt from the Gap, and these motorcycle boots… where are they from? I have had them a while. My jewelry is a mix of vintage from DearHolly.com and pieces from the Henderson Avenue shop, Milk & Honey.
What are your favorite places to shop? I'm old-school Dallas, so I still love Neiman Marcus. But most of my wardrobe is actually from ASOS.com, because I also like clothes to come to me. Lately, I have been popping into Milk & Honey frequently, and I look to Dolly Python for the weird stuff. Most of my basics come from the GAP.
What influences you? I really like to dress for occasion and I do tend to mind trends. Sometimes, that means I look a little costume-y, but I am mostly okay with that. I will look different at a hip-hop show than I do at a dive bar — because why do people not take the opportunity to wear costumes? Weird. You caught me about as casual as I get, and I hardly ever wear my hair up! My inspirations are starlets gone-by. Liz Taylor, Madeline Khan, Priscella Presley, Dolly Parton. I rarely veer into true vintage looks but those women dressed up with humor and glamour, and that is a balance I like to strike. My ultimate icon? Miss Piggy, she is as tongue-in-cheek glamour as it gets.
