Scenes From Saturday's Baboon, Corn Mo, Deathray Davies and Nervous Curtains Three Links Show.
Just as they did right around this time last year, the dudes in the revered '90s and early '00s North Texas rock outfit Baboon got the band back together for a gig at Three Links on Saturday night.
And this time, they did so with some pretty notable guests in tow. At this show, the noted “Fraternity of Noise” act sprung from Denton brought along a varied set of openers, including gloom-rock outfit Nervous Curtains, alt-rock favorites Deathray Davies and gone-from-these-parts-for-far-too-long theatrical rock hero Corn Mo.
Photographer Allan Hayslip was on hand to take in all the merry mayhem. Check out his images below.
Oh, and for the record: We've all seen the horse mask thing plenty in recent years, but, for what it's worth, we really can't remember anyone rocking it before Baboon did. Not that that's the reason the band was/is a bunch of innovators, but still.
