Parade of Flesh Adds Those Darlins, Fungi Girls and More to Free Bryan Street Tavern Party.

A couple weeks back, we passed along the news that Bryan Street Tavern was gearing up for a big four-year anniversary bash consisting of a free, all-day show featuring the likes of touring acts Turbo Fruits, Royal Bangs, White Mystery and Rayon Beach. Well, late last night, Bryan Street and Parade of Flesh (who is helping Bryan Street book this ordeal) threw yet another jab the Index Festival's way, announcing the remaining acts to play their free event. And, once again, the names impress.

Now joining those previously announced bands on the bill are El Paso Hot Button, Labretta Suede and the Motel 6 and the fresh-from-opening-for-the-Old-97's Those Darlins, plus local faves Fungi Girls, Hormones, Spookeasy, Sealion and Blackstone Rangers.

Not bad for a free show, right? We'll say.

Oh, and it turns out that's not the only fun event coming Bryan Street's way in the coming weeks: This coming Sunday, the establishment will be throwing a pre-Labor Day, white trash-themed party featuring arm wrestling competitions, a beer can pyramid building contest, a best tramp stamp showdown and, of course, some good old-fashioned chick shit bingo.
