This Will Destroy You Will Is Headlining October's Sound Select Show.

In conjunction with our friends at Spune and the event's namesake sponsors at Red Bull, we've now helped throw three separate Red Bull Sound Select shows since July. Starting with the free Erykah Badu show that kicked the series off and followed by two more $3 concerts — the Baths-headlined August affair at Three Links and this weekend's most recent Black Milk-headlined offering at Club Dada — these ,monthly concerts, rather unequivocally, have proven to be good times.

And there's no reason to believe that this trend won't continue in the months moving forward. To that end, we're happy to announce today the next offering in Dallas' Red Bull Sound Select Series, which will be curated by Spune and hosted at Sons of Hermann Hall on Thursday, October 17, as a kickoff of sorts to the 2013 edition of that booking entity's now-annual Index Festival in Deep Ellum: The semi-local post-rock heroes in This Will Destroy you will headline the show, supported on the bill by local experimental electronic gurus New Fumes and Botany.

As with all Red Bull Sound Select shows, tickets to this one will cost $3 to attend, with no presales, as all tickets will be sold at the door on the night of the show. That said, this one also comes with something of a twist: Index Festival ticket holders will get into the show for free, and will also be able to pick up their bracelets for Index's October 18 and October 19 festivities a day early by coming out to this show.
