Taco Joint Teases Longer Hours at Soon-To-Come Second Location.
Yesterday, the operators of Taco Joint's Facebook page let loose quite the tease, posting an interior picture of their almost finished second location, which, they promise, is “so very close to being open.”
The sooner the better, too: Back in January, the spot announced that they hoped to open the new location — at Mockingbird and Abrams and, interestingly, right across the street from Fuzzy's Tacos — in early April. We're now halfway through May.
The good news, of course, is that the place looks pretty much ready to go — and to go longer at that. A second photo posted to Facebook earlier this week teased the new location's operating hours, which stand in stark contrast to the ones kept at the original spot.
Whereas the original Peak and Gaston location has, since opening, closed its doors at 2 p.m. every afternoon and kept its doors shuttered on Sundays, the new spot will be a seven-days-a-week operation, with doors staying open until 9 o'clock or later each night.
Thank the lord. Considering how often we've woken up hungover on the weekends, hankering for some Taco Joint but unable to satisfy our urges because it's either after 2 or a Sunday, we can confidently say that this is some of the greatest news we've ever heard.
Update on 5/17 at 12:25 p.m.: A just-posted update to Facebook reveals that the new Taco Joint location will officially open its doors on Sunday! Boo-yah.
