Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie To Perform Together in North Texas on Halloween Night.
As if Halloween weren't already spooky enough, some just-breaking news certainly looks to make North Texas a little scarier this coming October 31.
Moments ago, '90s icons and famed shock-rockers Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie announced a co-headlining tour that will find the twosome coming to Grand Prairie's Verizon Theatre on Halloween night. The North Texas date will serve as the final stateside stop in a month-long tour before the show, called “Twins of Evil,” heads Europe's way in late November and December. Korn frontman and recent dubstep aficionado Jonathan Davis will be tagging along with Manson and Zombie, too, providing DJ services to the affair.
No word yet on tickets, unfortunately. The press release announcing the tour simply encourages fans to keep their eyes peeled to Manson and Zombie's websites for information.
The release also includes the following choice quotes from the headliners.
Zombie: “Finally! Why did the most obvious tour take so long to happen? Who knows? Who cares? It's happening now. If good taste is the chief enemy of great art, then we should be able to fill the Louvre with this f***ing tour. Be prepared for something wicked this way a-coming.”
Manson: “I have sympathy for the Whore of Babylon that gave birth to these twins of evil, and this abomination of a tour. There is no babysitter, and there is no repairing her womb. If Rob Zombie doesn't f*** you up, than [sic] I surely will. Hide all drugs and firearms…I'm coming to town.”
Jesus.
It should be noted that this is the second interesting booking Dallas has already landed for a night that remains three-and-a-half months out. Last month, electronic wizards Justice announced a Dallas performance on Halloween night to be held at the Palladium Ballroom. Tickets to that show are running $40 and can be still be purchased here.
