Scenes From Our Second Annual Yacht Rock Bash.
There was no red sky at night in which to take delight. And, while there may have been a red sky yesterday morning from which we could've heeded warning, we certainly weren't up early enough to see it.
So, perhaps because we're foolhardy types, we honestly didn't expect a damp Tuesday night for our second annual Yacht Rock bash, which went down last night at Sundown at Granada.
It is, after all, July. And this, of course, is Texas.
Alas, the rain was a welcome enough sight. More welcome, though? The fact that the rain hardly served as a deterrent to the attendees of this free-to-attend party.
To that end: Many thanks to the attendees who showed up to Sundown last night — especially to the many who donned sailor caps and get-ups, and even more especially to that one dude who showed up in full pirate gear (see below photos).
Thanks, too, to Dallas' favorite (only?) Hall & Oates tribute band, The Rich Girls, and to DJ Blake Ward, for sonically keeping things on point.
We had a good time last night. Here's hoping y'all did, too. Although, if the below photos are any indication, it certainly appears as if you did.
Thanks for partying with us, y'all.
