Descendents, Rise Against and NOFX to Headline Dallas' Riot Fest.
Recent weeks have found seminal punk outfit The Descendents performing a couple of times in Texas cities not named Dallas, which, indeed, is quite the shame for North Texans. But, thankfully, that much will change soon enough. Today, the once solely Chicago-based Riot Fest announced that, this year, it will expand to include four more cities: Toronto, Philadelphia, Brooklyn and — you guessed it — Dallas.
On Saturday, September 22, Riot Fest will make its debut foray into our neck of the woods with an event at Gexa Energy Pavilion featuring, yes, The Descendents, but also Rise Against (featuring area guitarist and former Hagfish member Zach Blair), NOFX, The Gaslight Anthem, Less Than Jake, Andrew W.K., The Sword, Municipal Waste, Off With Their Heads and a host of others.
Tickets go on sale here this Friday at 10 a.m.
