Just because Bicycling Magazine named Dallas the worst cycling city in America doesn't actually mean that Dallas is actually the worst cycling city in America.

It just means that Bicycling Magazine just doesn't know too much about the Dallas cycling scene.

Turns out there's a pretty strong cycling community bubbling up in the streets of Dallas. And the fact that Dallas is finally starting to put money into bike lanes and continuously discussing bicycle safety just proves that point.

Plus, thanks to all of the bicycle shops around town and Facebook groups centered around the sport, it's really easy to jump into the scene and ride your way into a great experience.

But, hey, we also know that entering any new group in town can be a daunting task. So, in case you still don't know how to really hop into the local cycling scene, here's a list of the bike rides that happen every week around town.

Just show up and join in. We think you'll find that these are incredibly welcoming groups.
