A.Dd+ and Datahowler Round Out Homegrown Bill.
It's been, oh, exactly a week since we last heard from the folks behind the fourth annual Homegrown Music and Arts Festival. Meaning? Well, sure, it's about time we heard from them again.
And, conveniently enough, there's a note from the people behind the daylong, Main Street Garden Park-hosted May 11 affair right here in the ol' inbox.
Let's see…
Ah, OK, this is cool: Favorite local hip-hop duo A.Dd+ has been added to the bill. So, too, has a special festival-opening set from area electronic wizard Datahowler, who'll kick off the day in conjunction with his pals (and past collaborators) at Super Yoga Palace to provide the soundtrack for a chilled-out stretch session before the festivities get fully underway.
Pretty, pretty cool.
Also worth noting: At the launch of this performer announcement period, we were told that there's be 15 performers on the bill. And, with these two adds, well, yeah, we have 15.
So, are we to assume, then, that the bill's complete?
“This is the complete lineup,” confirms festival co-organizer and talent buyer John Solis over the phone just now. “I feel good about it, I think we kind of lost sight of the local aspect we were known for bringing to Homegrown last year because we opened it up to Texas and tried to really blow it up. This year, we wanted to go back to those roots and feature the bands that are really coming up around here. We wanted to get it back on track and really make it Homegrown.”
Hey, sounds good to us.
Tickets to the festival, we should note, run $17 (plus fees) right here, and will go up to $25 on the day of the show. Kids under 10, meanwhile, get in free.
