This past Saturday night, Deep Ellum institution The Double Wide did what it does best, opening up its doors to any and all Dallas comers and welcoming them in for a night of alcohol-fueled, debaucherous hijinks.

It just so happened that this night was also the venue's 12th anniversary celebration.

And, yes, that fact very much added to the evening's festivities. But let's just be honest here: No one's ever in need of an excuse to go nuts at The Double Wide. In fact, many of the best memories made at this spot happen on the nights when you'd least expect them to.

Still, Saturday proved itself a drunken throwdown just the same — a truth we learned firsthand as we interviewed the party people at the anniversary bash and asked them to share their favorite Double Wide memories, along with any memories they have of their own 12th birthday celebrations.
